About the Author

Naveen Jain has trained in Neonatology from the premier medical school PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. He established the department of Neonatology at Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Trivandrum, Kerala in the year 2003 and is a visiting consultant at the national center of excellence Sree Chitra Thirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum. The neonatology department at KIMS has grown into a center of excellence for training in neonatology; many of his students have achieved national awards at examinations, quizzes, and conferences. He has been the guide of over 50 research projects in Neonatology. He has been an examiner for many national exit examinations in Neonatology (DM at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER)), National Board of Examinations (NBE), Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), and National Neonatology Forum of India (NNF).
